Thanks to everyone that came down on Friday to Kloof Street it was lots of fun. Just to recap we positioned “models” wearing our Steri x Levi’s t-shirts at various spots around the street and then, after a brief tune from the Steri band, we did a guided tour to show off each of the designs. Think my favourite were the two girls we put in Green’s restaurant having lunch - it confused the hell out of everyone else eating there. heh heh heh

Stump towers is all abuzz today as we’re recieving our first batch of the t-shirt range we’ve launched with Levis. We’ve worked with some of the hottest scribblers and crayon wielders to create possibly the hottest t-shirt range ever. Yup even hotter than my “Relentlessly Awesome” t-shirt and that’s pretty frickin rad. Two ways to get one: 1 you go buy a Steri Stumpie with a sticker on it. 2: you send us a steri photo so mind bendingly awesome we send you one from our own personal stash email = Jenn@steristumpie.com.

We also have a little something we’re calling the Steri Tee Party coming up to officially launch them in 2 weeks (more on this later when we’ve finished lovingly stroking our new friends in t-shirt form).

Brandt Botes for Steri Stumpie Vanilla Custard

Q: Hey Brandt. Thank you so much for agreeing to design us a shirt. We love your work like we love your body. Tell us, how long have you been working as a creative?

A: I have been drawing pictures ever since I can remember. But I only started getting paid for it about 10 years ago.

Q: And may you get paid for it for many more years to come. Tell us, Brandt, how many Steri Stumpies do you drink, on average, per week?

A: At least 6.

Q: Wow. 6 is a lot. That’s almost one for every day of the week. Guess ‘Sunday is rest day’ huh? Hur. Anyway, when’s your favourite time to drink a Steri Stumpie?

A: On my way to work.

Q: Ah, we can just imagine you nestling the old Stumpie between your muscular thighs while you drive. What’s your favourite flavour for thigh-nestling?

A: Cream Soda.

Q: The Green Queen! We love her too. Bless. Do you find the Stumpies help you with your ideas?

A: I can’t think of anything else when I’m drinking one, but yes – inspiration normally strikes soon after.

Q: Bam! Just like that hey. So, what do you use as inspiration for you work?

A: Reading, mostly. And music. Anything that induces the imagination.

Q: Spoken like a true creative genius. We can only bow down at your feet. And maybe do a little dance. Can you give us a link to any awesome projects you’re working on right now, so people can see more of your radness?

Q: Hey Ian. Thanks for agreeing to be a Steri Illustrator. How long have you been working as a creative?

A: I’ve only really been working for a year now… Still new to the whole 9-5 job thing!

Q: Sorry about that. The 9-5, that is. No doubt the Steris get you through though. How many Steri Stumpies would you say you drink per week?

A: On average I’d say 1 - 2 a week. Depends on when I find myself near a 7-11 with a bit of extra pocket change…

Q: Pocket change is the best. So when is your favourite time to drink a Steri Stumpie?

A: Late at night, after partying till 2am. It’s also good the morning after…

Q: When it comes to party damage, the Steri does heal all. What’s your favourite flavour Steri Stumpie?

A: Chocolate! It’s the classic. Got me through high school and college…

Q: We heard there’s a school in the Northern Cape that allows pupils to drink Steri Stumpies during class. Rad hey. Do you find Steri Stumpies help you with your ideas?

A: I do, especially for this illustration. I stared at a chocolate steri stumpie for hours asking it to reveal it’s secrets to me.

Q: And my what secrets it revealed! What do you use as inspiration for you work?

A: Movies are great, I love watching a good film… Also old movie posters, good music, other illustrators work on the internet. And random stuff that happens to me.
