Steri Stumpie comes in different flavours. And that’s a good thing. Kind of like life. Some days it’s really sunny. Some days it’s not, but you can listen to the rain on the roof and thats also cool. My point is if life and Steri Stumpie was all one flavour, Strawberry for example, we might eventually get bored… And so with these thoughts in mind I must introduce you to Skillie Akoesties Green Steri Stumpie song. Download here but be careful with it, it’s a fragile and precious thing. We’re running a little something over on Chris Rawlinson’s blog. The idea is very simple you take a picture of yourself posing on the desk of your boss (or some other figure of authority if you don’t work) we send you Steri Stumpie and assorted rad goodies.

This is an illustrative picture of Steri Stumpies very own Tessa posing on our boss Nicola’s desk. Bonus points if you work for someone really important. Send the pics to Chris he’ll choose the one that most amuses him (or the person he most fancies more likely).

Steri doesn’t usually make it out of Southern Africa (restrictions about milk exports or some such thing). However this plucky bottle of Cream Soda made it all the way to Paris (the actual contents didn’t make it past check-in as it was swiftly downed). Ah Paris! Very much like your namesake in the Free State just with more poodle poop and mime artists. Thanks for the pic - your efforts will be rewarded!

Q. Hey SadMascot. It’s been great to have you working with us. We love your T-shirt design. How long have you been working as a an illustrator?

A. Since about 2005.

Q: Four years is a rounded number. Good stuff. How many Steri Stumpies do you drink per week?

A: I used to drink plenty in college.

Q: College is cool. Pity you can’t study ‘Steri Stumpie Drinking’ as a course. So when’s your favourite time to drink a Steri Stumpie?

A. Right before dinner. The joys of being an adult.

Q. So feeling the Steri Dinner vibes. Steri for dessert too, yes? What’s your favourite flavour Steri Stumpie?

A. Chocolate for sure.

Q. A lot of people like chocolate. But then again, everyone has their favourite. So would you say Steri Stumpies help you with your ideas?

A: Chocolate milk makes everything better.

Q: Those are words to live by! What do you use as inspiration for you work?

A. Music, books, boredom and people.

This month’s stumpie ambassadorship was well deserved by the  Brothersstreep after producing their spectacular Steri Stumpie song and video. To celebrate their induction as official unofficial ambassadors the Steri Stumpie marching band led them on to the legendary stage of the V&A Waterfont ampitheatre last Saturday. The resulting performance was possibly the greatest pop spectacle since Woodstock (the 1969 festival not the place next to Obs). The Steri song was a smash hit and needless to say the rest of their performance was packed with nothing short of deity-like awesomeness. Thanks Dylan, Simon, Tim x 2 and Richard, for your radness we salute you. Video to follow (Jenn’s debut behind the camera so its bound to be something special…) Ok who is next?
